Do you all know what is Twitter list widget? If you already knew about Twitter, then it wouldn't be a problem. But for some people, Twitter is still new on internet, they would prefer to join Facebook than simply make an account on Twitter. But nowadays, on blogger perspective, Twitter list widget has become a strong tool that can be functioned to attract visitors from all across the world.
The main function of Twitter list widget has also changed from just a social community into a real traffic generator. So, if signed in to your Twiiter account, in the timeline of your homepage, you will always see the message like this.
"Obama for the next USA President http://is.gd/4D1g"Yeah, as you can see in the red words above, that short URL address of that sentence indicates the URL address of someone's website or blog that has an article related to "Obama for the next USA President". So if suddenly people read that short sentence along with the shortened link, they will be interested to read the rest of that article. That's why, short URL address is so vital in getting traffic from Twitter.
In Twitter, it's all about following and the followers. Following means we want to follow someone's updates, so if you follow a person named "Blogger", you will get the latest updates from that person in the home page of your Twitter list widget or timeline. On the other side, if you have followers, it means every latest update from you, will automatically be spreading out to every followers you have. How to apply Twitter list widget into our blog?
And then next question is, how to embed the Twitter list widget into our Blogger-powered blog? So people who visit your blog will be interested to follow you via Twitter via Twitter list widget. Okay, if want to know how to add this Twitter list widget to your blog, you can do these following steps below!
1. Login to Twitter.com
Now go to Twitter.com and Sign In using your own username and password.
2. Go to Setting Menu
In the top position of your Twitter account, you will see the Setting navigation menu. Now go to the Setting page to begin editing your Twitter account.
3. Press the tab Profile in the Setting page
After landing to the Setting page, there are 7 tabs that can be switched regarding the configuration of your Twitter account. Now press the tab Profile. In the Profile page, scroll down little bit and find the option option Web. Now press the link (You can also add Twitter to your site here). By doing so, you will be brought to the Twitter widget page.
4. Press the website option and Profile widget
In the Twitter list widget page, you will be given the choices on adding the Twitter widgets or badges to your website/blog or Facebook account. Now press the option Website, in the drop-down page, choose the Profile Widget (in the first option).
5.Configure the appearance of your Twitter widget
In the Profile Widget page, you can customize the appearance of your Twitter widget. Now configure the Twitter list widget from Setting, Preferences, Appearance, and Dimension in this area.
6. Get the widget code
After finished customizing your Twitter list widget, it's time to grab the widget code that later will be embedded into our blog. Now in the bottom position of the Profile Widget page, press the button Finish & Grab Code to begin generating the script code. Now copy the script code and put it to the Notepad.
7. Adding Twitter widget directly to Page Element
Anyway, if you don't want to bother copying and pasting the widget code to your blog, you can simply press the image below the generated widget code called Add to Blogger to begin embedding the Twitter list widget into your Blogger blog.
8. Save the change
Now, by pressing the Save button, you can simply save the change of your new Twitter list widget. As you can see in your blog, a Twitter widget has been successfully added to your blog.
