In blogosphere, getting a high traffic to our blog or website per day can be the most important thing for our success blogging, no argue to that. It would be in vain if you had spent your whole time on blogging but never got any significant progress, especially in the amount of visitors per day. So to resolve this kind of problem, we have to make sure that our blog is: worth reading, original not copying-pasting articles, and the topic/niche of our blog is what people really need and search through Google, so people will altogether search for the topic of your blog, which will finally gain a massive traffic per day to your blog and get a better Alexa ranking on Alexa widget.
But, what Alexa widget really is and how it works?
Anyway, If you are a blogger, then you must know about Alexa widget, right?. But, if you are a still newbie, i will explain to you with my own words.
Alexa Internet Inc. is a web information company, a subsidiary of Amazon, founded in 1996 by Brewster Kahle and Bruce Gilliat, which has a job to track the traffic of every blog and website all across the world and then rank it with a number. Alexa ranking works differently with how Google pagerank works. So if your Alexa ranking is big, for example 14.000.000, it means your blog or website doesn't have quite good amount of visitors per day. On the other side, if your blog has a small Alexa rank, for example 1, it means your blog is famous and your blog has a bigger amount of traffic per day. So smaller is better in Alexa rangking.
Many webmasters said that embedding Alexa widget into our blog is the first way on getting attention from Alexa rank. By adding the Alexa widget into our blog, will finally improve the Alexa ranking of our blog in the future. So, if you are eager in making money on internet, i strongly suggest you to add this Alexa ranking widget in your blog in order to get indexed in Alexa's database. Now, in this article, i want to show you how to stack the Alexa widget on your blog. Here you go!
First Phase: Getting the script code of Alexa widget
1. Go to this Alexa website
Firstly, go to Alexa widget website. In this Alexa website, you will be presented right away with many options of Alexa widgets that can be embedded to your blog.
2. Pick the widget
Now pick one of those options you've been presented and near the Build Widget button, enter your website address, without the prefix http://, just type whatmakesblog.com in the blank form. By pressing the Build Widget button, you will be automatically brought to the new page regarding the generated code for the Alexa rank widget.
3. Copy the script code of Alexa widget
Now pick again the Alexa widget you want to embed to your blog. From the option: Small Button (120 x 65), Regular Button (120 x 90), and even Banner (468 x 60) can be chosen here. Now Copy the generated code besides the Alexa rank widget you've chosen, and then put it in the Notepad. In order to embed Alexa rank widget into your blog, you can proceed to the next step of this tutorial.
Second Phase: Adding Alexa rank on your blog
1. Log in to Blogger Account
Now to begin this tutorial, let's go to Blogger.com and then Log in to your Blogger account using your own username along with the password. By putting the correct Log in information, you will be brought to the new page called Dashboard.
2. Go to Layout
In the Dashboard page, go to Layout/Design of your blog.
3. Pick the place for the Alexa rank
In the Page Element, now pick the best position regarding the placement of the Alexa widget. My suggestion would be the footer area, because the footer area is the best position for everything about website information.
4. Paste the script code of Alexa rank
After finding the best position of your Alexa rank, now press Add a Gadget in the area you've chosen. And then, opt to HTML/Javascript in the provided option.
As you can see directly on your blog, the Alexa widget has been successfully installed into your blog. Now you can wait while Alexa tracks your blog and finally give your blog a rank.
Ok, i hope you consider with what i said above. Make a worth reading blog, original articles not copying-pasting articles, and make a blog which most of people on earth are looking for your chosen topic are 3 of many fundamental factors in getting traffic in the future. Hope it helps you all.
Good luck bloggers!
