Don't Let Your Blog Enslave You, because You are the Real Boss of your own blog

Hi bloggy readers,
Do you know the true reason why you are blogging? The answers can be varied, depend on your background. Maybe your hobby is writing and use blog as a platform, maybe you are blogging for money, or maybe, you are promoting your own tangible product through your blog, or any other reasons that i can't mention in this post.

Are you blogging for money?

For people who are blogging for money, they have to remember that, they are blogging to replace their boring, stuck, and full pressure jobs with an interesting and free of boss job. But suddenly, they have immersed themselves into the self employments for their own blogs, it's seems like they've been enslaved by their blogs. They didn't realize that, they have forgotten the main purpose of why they want to blog in the first place.

Many bloggers all across the world are working really hard to build their blog empire from posting lots of pillar articles for about 4-5 month and then spread it out to the blogosphere. But finally, they feed their blog with an irrelevant topic of paid to review job. You must remember that paid to review is a job with a deadline, so it seems like they have transformed themselves from one job to another same job, the difference is the boss. In office, our boss is human being, but in blog, our boss is our blog itself, can you believe it? Yes, sadly but that is the truth. We are enslaved by our blog.

How i got paid $1 for post review, what a shame

I remember when my first blog, Gamelidz got a paid to review job from Buyblogsreview, talking about an iPhone wholesale website. I know that Gamelidz can only generate a small amount of traffic per day, i think it's about 25-30 visitors per day, what a shame. And my Alexa rank was only 1.500.000 with Pagerank 1.

Do you want to know how much i got paid to review someone's wholesale store in my blog? i was only paid for $1, again, what a shame. It was a terrible job i've ever done in my whole life. Since then, i promised that i will never do that paid to review job again, unless i get a suitable payment for doing that kind of job.

Summary

So the message i slipped in this article is, i don't think it's a wise decision to do a post review if your blog has a low pagerank and Alexa rank, because it can only give you a small ammount of money and it is not paying off at all with your hard effort.

The other message is, i suggest you to not let yourself gone to far with all these blogging activities. Blogging can be a full-time job, but you must remember that, blogging is a such a relaxing activity, where there is no boss, pushing us around with his command, and then angry at us for small mistake we've commited.

We want our blog to generate us money while we are doing our favorite activities, such as: fishing, biking, climbing, playing guitar, or anything. We want our blog to work for us, not we work for them. So don't lose yourself, keep blogging but remember that, your blog is not your blog, but you are the real boss here.

This is fantastic advice! As a blogger, I sometimes forget to relax and enjoy that blogging freedom by my own self-imposed deadlines. It's crazy...you are so right about blogging being a way to relax and enjoy our hobbies and interests. Great post!

Yeah thanks for the comment. I just want to tell bloggers for focusing more in building their blog empire with one niche articles instead of feeding their blog with irrelevant topic. It's so wasting time and will weaken our blog traffic in the future.
