Great template! Using it for our travels. Do you know why the picture slideshow shows up in a difference place when using Internet Explorer vs, Firefox?

Hi Redva Kaurvaki,

I think i know your problem, No Content exist at page 1 will automatically appear if you haven't set the slide show yet on your blog. So you really need to fill that slide show with your photos, and i thing it must be at least 4 photos. It's actually easy to set this slide show, you can look at the step "How to edit the flash slide show of this widget?".

If you don't want to bother with setting the title and link on the slide show, you can simply copy and paste these codes below on your blog.

<div class="glidecontent">
<img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e351laZtYKA/TlXECBLWOhI/AAAAAAAAATc/rZF-aFsVj0Q/s1600/2.PNG"/>
</div>

<div class="glidecontent">

</div>

<div class="glidecontent">
<img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LtiuB6f-Z00/TlXD9NkeeWI/AAAAAAAAATY/IPITea2XXCE/s1600/1.PNG"/>
</div>

<div class="glidecontent">

</div>

Thanks for your awesome question. :)

And also, if you want to use other photos, you can just replace the image source address in each code above with extension .PNG.

Hi Daniel, great template! How do I get a photo as the background of the title portion? like you have the beach one here as an example - I also can't seem to change the size of the title font. Help? Thanks!

Daniel Likin said...

Hi LC, Thanks for asking

About your question, in order to change the whole background of the header (beach in this case), you must also change the back side of the slide show (pile of picture), which requires PhotoShop or any image editing software. See this picture as example:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--PdvngfmPY4/ToZ1EH87EFI/AAAAAAAAAkM/VVEZAovL6Bc/s1600/canvas.PNG

As you can see in that picture above, there is a small part of beach picture on the back side of pile of photos.

If you want to use the template with beach on the header, you can download the template via this page or this URL

http://www.fileupyours.com/file.php?action=download&userid=211365&file=Travel%20and%20Vacation%20%28Update%29.zip

OR if you want me to edit the header part of this template with your own photo, just send your photo to my email at lidzhet(at)gmail.com. Once, i've finished it, i'll let you know via this page.

And for the last question, to edit the title font of the header, you can simple find the CSS below:

#header h1 {
text-transform:capitalize;
color:#000;background-color:;
text-align:left;
font-size:18px;
letter-spacing:.05em;
font-family:Maiandra GD;
max-width:400px;min-width:400px;
margin:0;padding:15px 5px 0;
}
#header .description {
font-family:Bradley Hand ITC;
color:#fff;
font-weight:bold;
float:left;
text-align:left;
font-size:13px;
background-image:url();
background-color:;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
max-width:400px;
min-width:400px;letter-spacing:.1em;
margin:0px 0px 0px;padding:0px 10px 0;
}
#header a {
letter-spacing:.05em;
text-align:left;
font-family:Maiandra GD;
color:#000;
text-decoration:none;
font-size:18px;
}
#header a:visited {
text-decoration:none;
}
#header a:hover {
text-decoration:none;
color:#000;
}

Thanks for your question..

Hi Daniel. I love the template - but I am using your previous template without the beach background. http://ferrungu.blogspot.com/

Is there anyway to keep mine as is, but to have the ability to make a title just as you have?

Please let me know - great template and we will be using it for our world tour.

Cheers

Daniel Likin said...

Hi Conrad and Louisa, sorry for my late reply.

1. If you want the template to have the same header title just like on the template with beach picture above, you can simply find the CSS below:

#header h1 {
text-transform:capitalize;
color:#fff;background-color:;
text-align:left;
font-size:28px;
letter-spacing:.05em;
font-family:Maiandra GD;
text-transform:capitalize;
max-width:400px;min-width:400px;
margin:0;padding:25px 10px 0;
text-shadow: 3px 3px #000;
}
#header .description {
font-family:Bradley Hand ITC;
color:#fff;
float:left;
font-size:13px;text-align:justify;
background-image:url();
background-color:;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
max-width:400px;
min-width:400px;letter-spacing:.1em;
margin:10px 0px 0px;padding:5px 10px 0;
text-shadow: 3px 3px #000;
}
#header a {
letter-spacing:.05em;
font-family:Maiandra GD;
text-transform:capitalize;
color:#fff;
text-decoration:none;
font-size:28px;
}
#header a:visited {
text-decoration:none;
}
#header a:hover {
text-decoration:none;
color:#dfdfdf;
}

2. And then change it with the new CSS below:

#header h1 {
text-transform:capitalize;
color:#fff;background-color:;
text-align:left;
font-size:18px;
letter-spacing:.05em;
font-family:Maiandra GD;
max-width:400px;min-width:400px;
margin:0;padding:15px 5px 0;
text-shadow: 3px 3px #000;
}
#header .description {
font-family:Bradley Hand ITC;
color:#fff;
font-weight:bold;
float:left;
text-align:left;
font-size:14px;
background-image:url();
background-color:;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
max-width:400px;
min-width:400px;letter-spacing:.1em;
margin:10px 0px 0px;padding:0px 10px 0;
text-shadow: 2px 2px #000;
}
#header a {
letter-spacing:.05em;
text-align:left;
font-family:Maiandra GD;
color:#fff;
text-decoration:none;
font-size:18px;
}
#header a:visited {
text-decoration:none;
}
#header a:hover {
text-decoration:none;
color:#fff;
}
