|Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame|
As we all know already, Ubisoft has been doing some efforts in mobile gaming, specifically in tablet and smartphone gaming by delivering their popular title Assassins' Creed to iOS and Android. However, unlike their subsidiary, Gameloft, Ubisoft seems half-hearted in bringing their quality and resources to this mobile platform.
But apparently, there is a good sign that they will change their mind a bit about mobile gaming business. And that can be seen on another of Ubisoft's popular title that just got launched recently, Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame. This game is available, actually, it has been available to download since last month on App Store and Google Play Store.
In platforming game space, Prince of Persia series has been nothing but one of the best hack and slash platforming game on consoles, PC and even mobile devices. If you've already seen the movie of this game, then you already know that in Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame, you can slash enemies with your sword or throw them away with special melee and combos.

This is actually kind off weird because Ubisoft's subsidiary on mobile department, Gameloft, already remade Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: Warrior Within to mobile devices earlier a few years ago (i.e., tablets, smartphones and even feature phones). And the game was made in full 3D graphics and gameplay plus the original third person perspective like on the consoles and PC.
Anyway, despite all of those cons compared to its counterpart, Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame is still a good and fun game to play, especially on your smartphone or tablet as it will be really simple and intuitive to play, just like Ubisoft's other mobile game title, Assassins' Creed.
In this game, you'll get a plenty new stuff to do, like of course, walking, running, jumping, slashing enemies, doing combos and melees, searching treasures, running on the wall to wall, killing enemies in stealth mode and all bunch of other stuff.
Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame takes place directly after the events of the first Prince of Persia game, where you found yourself born in royal family. Your mission in this game is to explore and unravel your own past.
Of course, you'll not be able to get all the goodies found on Gameloft's Prince of Persia Warrior Within, like full 3D graphics and gameplay. But still, Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame may be one game you don't wanna miss, especially if you are one of the die-hard fans of this series.
Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame is now available to download on Google Play and Apple App Store for a mere $2.99, which is pretty reasonable given that this game is not the full port of the original series.
To be honest, despite the pretty good graphics in this game, i'm still disappointed with how Ubisoft made this game. I mean, Ubisoft everyone, is one huge game maker out there on this earth. They have all the money, the quality, the resources and many other aspects in order to make more serious games for smartphones and tablets.
And seeing how mobile gaming has been enjoying such a fast and positive growth in the past few years, that even has been eating a lot of shares in handheld, PC and even console gaming market, then it's just ridiculous to see that Ubisoft hasn't taken any serious step in order to bring their best ever A-game to really port their original titles to mobile platforms.
I think Ubisoft must look up to Rockstar Games who did an outstanding job in porting their popular games like GTA and Max Payne series to tablets and smartphones in full 3D graphics, gameplay, maps and even storyline that still follow the original titles.
I believe this has something to do with Ubisoft's subsidiary, Gameloft, who, i think, has been tasked to handle the mobile game department, while Ubisoft makes money from console and PC gaming markets. But i really hope Ubisoft, maybe through Gameloft, can bring the latest version like Prince of Persia, Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell to mobile platforms in full original 3D graphics and gameplay in the future, exactly like what Rockstar Games did to GTA or Max Payne series.
In the meantime, if you still want to try out Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame, feel free to head over to App Store or Google Play Store to download the game.
