3 basic and important things about Sitemeter webstat you should know
Anyway, before leaving this post, there are something i must tell you about Sitemeter, especially their service.
  • It is very important that the code snippet from Sitemeter webstat to be pasted inside our blog template! Well, that's because the code itself is integrated directly with the Sitemeter tool., so we cannot analyse our blog traffic through Sitemeter website if we haven't injected the code to our blog.
  • The feature called "ignore visit" on Sitemeter will avoid our own visit to our blog to be counted as a traffic. This feature will record the IP address of our computer on their database, and thus will never calculate our visit as a real traffic.
  • The other feature called "Privacy" will allow us to hide the traffic activity of our blog from our visitors. So every time your blog visitors press the Sitemeter webstat widget on your blog, they will be automatically brought to the homepage of Sitemeter, instead of our Statistic page. Thus, will prevent them to know about the data of our web statistic. This can be important especially for those bloggers who don't want people know that their blogs have a small traffic each day.
Okay, that's it for now about adding a webstat to our blog. If you have something to ask to me, just type your question on the comment section below and i'll try my best to give you the answer as soon as possible.
